Redang

Hey guys, i'm back from my so call second home, Redang. Redang bay dive shop did change alot! Seems like eric made lots of effort to improve the dive shop, extra bench to put your tank and everyone will be assigned a number, just like in Sipandan. Anyway, met up with some of our Bali trip divers as well.... Diving is fun, we saw Eagle ray! and is a big one, this is my second encounter with eagle ray at redang, once was last year before season end, two baby eagle came to the house reef. Well i took a short video of the eagle ray as i feel there's no point taking pictures due to the distance, vis and my camera. well, a hongkonger drove the ray away because he went to chase it....duh! silly idiot!
21.03.2008, our last day, our last dive, i almost died. My valve was not fully open, after 30 mins dive, suddenly, there seems like very small amount of air coming out from my regulator, checked my gauge and shows Zero air.....i quickly swim to a my nearest diver, a certified rescue diver, signal to her that i've no air, need her second stage. She showed me her SPG signal to me she's OK! roar! then i signal to her again and instead of waiting for her to react, i grab her secondary regulator. My heart just dropped at that moment, her secondary cannot work....i tried to purge twice but in vain. I started swallowing water and signal to her that i need her second stage urgently but she don't seem to understand...i have to grab her second stage take a breath quickly push it back to her mouth..... apologise to her for that and quickly go to another diver, Emmanual, and do our safety stop... so my very first near death experience....anyway, i went to a fortune reading before my trip, saying i'm not advisable to go diving, might met some accident.....creepy man...
